I mute nearly all the games so it does not matter. In honesty, and sadly, I think the NESN are the best broadcasts.

As painful as it can be, I tried muting and in my opinion it’s worth hearing the crap to sort the gems out of the manure. Remember that the announcing crews do get fed a lot of information by the networks from which to choose and add to the dialogue. From your questions that we get on here, Russ...I think you’d be a much more informed fan if you can avoid running to the john to puke while listening to the broadcasts. So... turn the sound on and set a bucket on the seat next to you like we all do...

I envision a big torchlight parade through his hallway while Jessica screeches about the fine points of taking an off-speed pitch to the opposite field to beat the shift, just like she did back on the Stanford softball team.

Yes. I can see it in my mind’s eye. Russ is marching with a bat for a baton in his tighty whities (thank God for the tighty whities), occasionally pausing to faux bunt or take an inside out swing to hit behind the runner, then consult with his dice to see if the play was successful. Then follows up by making a secondary roll with his twenty sided die to see if the runner was being held (and to see if the dragon has encroached on the interior of the castle, of course)...

I agree that the YES team is well above average, Chi. But for the most part I would rather listen to the biased locals than the national broadcasters. At least they know their own team. With a few exceptions -- maybe Costas and Kaat when they are on their game, which happens with decreasing frequency -- the national broadcasters are very superficial and seem to home in on one or two talking points which they will beat to death.

If the network didn’t feed them morsels of info they’d be even worse. I don’t know how much they get paid per game, but to it’s sorely obvious that their knowledge of the teams they’re covering is so superficial that they do no personal homework. What a gig...

Turns out, Yankees’ Clint Frazier did talk to media after his fielding screwups. Here’s what he said to ESPN
Much has been written about New York Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier and the troubles he’s having playing the position. It didn’t help that Frazier ducked the media following Sunday’s 8-5 loss to the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium.
However, Frazier did speak to one member of the media ... ESPN’s Coley Harvey. It’s worth noting ESPN broadcast the game on Sunday night. Per Harvey:
“I’ve been working really hard every day with (OF coach) Reggie (Willits) before BP starts and despite what has been happening during the game, I’m still confident in myself to be able to turn this around soon ... It’s tough to cost the team runs and a potential win especially when playing at home against Boston. Things keep happening that shouldn’t and I’m acknowledging that with all of the early work I’m doing before games.”
Just spoke to Clint Frazier, who wanted to address his play tonight:

Good, maybe the media will give Frazier some slack, bottom line, he has to get much better.

Its time to see what Red Thunder is made out of. Will he bounce back with a vengeance or fold under the pressure?

I was thinking of I had a comrade (Ich Habbe eine kameraden). German march music is very different than Russian or British or US. Stuff about girlfriends and fellow soldiers.
