I told Boone to get Happ out of there. Stick with Happ, Boone.

LeMahieu is the greatest player in the history of baseball. The voting is now closed. You have me remembering the days when it seemed like every game that I watched with Joe Rudi in it the announcers would rave about how he was the most under rated player in the game. It got to the point that I felt he was over rated by being under rated. But this guy really is much better than most who have never had the pleasure of watching him play day to day would ever dream. Some players that I think of that were under rated for ages by many fans: Brett Gardner Jorge Posada Tony Phillips Joe Rudi (yes, until he wasn’t) Roy White Mike Stanley Gene Tenace Mickey Tettleton Richie Ashburn Just off the top o’ me noggin’...

And shame on me for not making Gil McDougald a first ballot player on that list...

I would Bobby Grich, Bill Buckner and Gil McDougald.

I would Bobby Grich, Bill Buckner and Gil McDougald. Nice additions...though I’m not quite as high on Bill Buckner... but then again, that’s the thing that made him under rated, right? Having NOTHING to do with that one play we all know about, I never cared much for his glove... In fact, one of the critiques about THAT play is that he was often removed for for defense, so why not THAT day?...

Real lazy play by Estrada. The Yankees have seemed very nonchalant defensively lately.

Happ really doing a nice job. He should be out of this inning.

Buckner made between 12-17 errors at 1B every regular season between 1981 (strike shortened, Yikes!) and 1986...

Serious kudos to Happ. The Yankees needed this.
