When Sevy and German come back, I am an advocate for a six-man rotation. The extra rest would help the knees of CC and Maple, Happ would be a bit stronger, and we know Tanaka is dynamite on five days rest. It would protect both Severino and Domingo from coming off the IL. Fresher for the playoffs. If the Yankees sign a Stroman or Boyd, German can bolster the bullpen. Or, continue the opener, release Cessa, and allow German, Hale, and Cortes to share the long man duties of three plus innings.
