Intentionally loading the bases when the pitcher is struggling with his command.
And it works.

Intentionally loading the bases when the pitcher is struggling with his command. And it works. I don't get that but what the heck Is 25 in a row with a home run, that we might get tomorrow a yankee record or a ML record

Holder gets rewarded with the win...anyone else want to advocate for a rules change?

Holder gets rewarded with the win...anyone else want to advocate for a rules change? I think the rules allow, someone said it here years ago, for the official scorer (or someone official) not to to give it to the pitcher who came in after the runs were scored if they felt he did not contribute to the win.

Holder gets rewarded with the win...anyone else want to advocate for a rules change? Goes to show how meaningless the W-L statistic is for pitchers.

Holder gets rewarded with the win...anyone else want to advocate for a rules change? It's a joke. Tanaka deserves the win for gutting out 6 innings of two run ball against a good lineup.

That's only when the starting pitcher doesn't go 5 innings, leaves with the lead and the bullpen protects the lead for the remainder of the game.

Yea CC really got the press going the other day saying the strikeouts mean more than the pitchers win statistic, but the way he described it is correct basically for the pitcher to get a "win" the entire team has to perform. A pitcher could throw a perfect 9 innings, but if the rest of the team doesnt score one run the credit for the win doesn't go to that pitcher or as he said in that example in his first win he gave up like 5 runs and was terrible, but its a "Win" for the pitcher somehow.

Just came back from the wedding! I was trying not to pay attention to my phone and the game too much but I saw the dots on the screen in the 9th and was transfixed to gamecast at the end while trying to eat my wedding cake at the same time! Wow, Britton had to make it interesting didn't he? But we got the win! 8 in a row! 6 straight against the mighty Rays and Astros! Going for the McBroom will be tough tomorrow with the pitching matchup but with this lineup, anything is possible! What a win though! Made my night!

Check in from this boring ass wedding. At least yanks scored. I hope you have some good eats at the reception. Food was okay. Pretty boring overall. Generic Bengali wedding. I mainly went because the groom is in my fantasy football league. I take that seriously.
