Check in from this boring ass wedding. At least yanks scored. Hope your Electric Slide and Conga Line skills are up to date Kaybli.  They didn't even have a dance floor! There were other events. I think they had dancing there but not at this event. |

Just saw the highlights! Team showed a lot of character by coming back after sucky ass Holder blew the lead! Romine comes through! Clutch Stanton with the 110 mph worm burners that find holes!

Just saw that catch! After this win and Boston/Tampa Bay losing, this is the high point of the season so far!

I hope you have some good eats at the reception. Food was okay. Pretty boring overall. Generic Bengali wedding. I mainly went because the groom is in my fantasy football league. I take that seriously.  The concern is, was the bride in your fantasy league?... |

They give up on marrying sports stars and actors at a young age and resign themselves to us average doofuses who tend to be more willing to help them do the domestic stuff, and take the trash out, clean litter boxes... So, perhaps that’s a good match, unless the guy is a doctor. Then he should have waited the field out... |

It's a joke. Tanaka deserves the win for gutting out 6 innings of two run ball against a good lineup. Yea CC really got the press going the other day saying the strikeouts mean more than the pitchers win statistic, but the way he described it is correct basically for the pitcher to get a "win" the entire team has to perform. A pitcher could throw a perfect 9 innings, but if the rest of the team doesnt score one run the credit for the win doesn't go to that pitcher or as he said in that example in his first win he gave up like 5 runs and was terrible, but its a "Win" for the pitcher somehow. On May 26, 1959, Harvey Haddix of the Pittsburgh Pirates pitched what is often referred to as the greatest game in baseball history.[47] Haddix carried a perfect game through 12 innings against the Milwaukee Braves, only to have it ruined when an error by third baseman Don Hoak allowed Félix Mantilla, the leadoff batter in the bottom of the 13th inning, to reach base. A sacrifice by Eddie Mathews and an intentional walk to Hank Aaron followed; the next batter, Joe Adcock, hit a home run that became a double when he passed Aaron on the bases.
