I have to watch the highlights of this game. Took a sleeping pill and just slept through the whole affair! I think I checked my phone and saw 4-2 Boston. But that was before the 9 run inning! 11 games up on these bums now!

Coming from the guy who only recently stopped celebrating last year’s WS as if it was some kind of coronation that’s quite a statement. The Yanks didn’t look great this series either but I will chalk a lot of that up to the stupid travel and weird park. |

I dozed through most of the first three innings, with one eye popping open from time to time. I never saw the Yanks score their first two runs... By inning number 4, I was awake, but the game wasn’t all that interesting until the eighth... |

All the Red Sox need to do is add about five good bullpen arms before the trade deadline. Boston is now four games behind Tampa Bay for the first wild card spot, and two games out of the second wild card spot. Fifth overall in the wild card standings.
I know, I know, that ground can be made up before the All Star break. But it still feels good.
