Hard to believe the best Yankee pitcher this weekend may have been Cessa. Makes sense. We were playing in a Cessa-pool of a park. (: Maybe ol’ Cessa still has something to offer!...

Reminds me of a time when a Red Sox pitcher said “Right now, the Yankees are my daddy”... He also said “I can’t beat the Yankees and their friends”, whining about the umpires. Petey would have been an all time great pitcher if he wasn’t such a whiny bitch.

Hard to believe the best Yankee pitcher this weekend may have been Cessa. That was one strange weekend, hopefully the first and last trip to London for the Yanks. Tip of the cap to Cessa, if he stunk today, the Yanks probably lose.

Tip of the cap to Cessa, if he stunk today, the Yanks probably lose today. Never have back to back wins against Boston felt so unsatisfying. Obviously better to win than lose, but that unrecognizable version of baseball was torment to watch. Not to mention the cruel and unusual affliction of the Yankee-hating Buck/Smoltz team one day and the moronic banter of A-Rod, "Matty" and the ever-beaming Jessica the next. So glad this atrocity is over.

It would help if they, you know, actually talked about the game. Never have I wanted commercial intervention more than when they stayed with the crowd to sing Sweet Caroline. As if the British have never heard Neil Diamond and would sing it differently than the Sox fans. Or anybody else for that matter. As for the games, looked more like bad pitching and good hitting more than anything in the stadium. None of the homers seemed cheap.

I feel that way about every ESPN baseball broadcast, which is why I find them virtually unwatchable. It's as if you are at somebody's home and the game is on in the background while people are talking about other things. Instead of "Sweet Caroline," the Sox fans might want to start singing "It's Too Late" or "It's All Over Now."

The rubber field and large foul grounds were more of a factor than the fence distances... Brits: “We’ll ave to visit Caroline when we go to America. I here they have one in the Nahth and one in the Sauth...Oh, sweet Caroline...bah bah bah. Must ave sheep there ya’ suppose?...

Which begs the question, why are we having so much face time for the broadcast crew? But let's be honest, this series was a 2-day infomercial for MLB. Maybe next year won't be as bad since the novelty will have worn off a bit.

Which begs the question, why are we having so much face time for the broadcast crew? But let's be honest, this series was a 2-day infomercial for MLB. Maybe next year won't be as bad since the novelty will have worn off a bit. [ The crew gets their egos fed way beyond what makes sense. It’s not their fault, that’s on the producers, but the more face time they get, the more they’ll want. But the infomercial aspect is palpable for certain. You’ll get your imitation baseball game from London with no* shipping costs to you. But wait! There’s MORE! You’ll get two games if you order your MLB package this year! * No additional fees beyond that of purchasing your MLB or sports package. Prices will continue to creep upward after you order. This is likely to result in you getting your package through DISH network and discovering you now get an inferior product. But don’t worry, I’m a couple of years that package price will creep up, and you’ll come back so we can do it all again. As George Carlin would have said...(we can’t officially say that, so never mind)...

sorry.....I liked all of it....at the same time, I'm glad other teams will get their turn next...I imagine the Brits think the Yankees are the cream of baseball....it seems like a special year to be a Yankee fan...

No crime in that. We like what we like, and don’t what we don’t. When it’s over, it will be done... or was that when it’s done it will be over?...
