Jeter did us wrong by moving Stanton to us and Yelich to...not us. Where is his Yankee loyalty?
Maybe he is *shudder* a capitalist?

You can sort of understand why Jeter moved Stanton. The Yelich deal is inexplicable. yes it is....Stanton was moved first, I think....if so, I wonder if Cashman discussed Yelich with Miami.....Imagine if Cashman had been able to tie together the deal taking on the big salary of Stanton AND adding Yelich to the package to NY.....whew.....I suspect it could have been done perhaps... Not sure. Miami wanted Torres for Stanton. Cashman moved them off of that to get them to take Starlin Castro instead. So what you're proposing would have the Yankees keeping Castro and the Marlins not getting the talent they got for Yelich. Don't see it. |

I won't stay up to watch this, but one thing I do like about the ASG - in the past the ASG seemed to reward former stars whose names were recognizable. This year it looks like there's a ot more young current talent and fewer guys who are just famous names who used to be great but aren't anymore.
