The Yankees of most of my life have been such a heavy LH hitting club....I never thought they would go away from that, but left or right, this is a fun ballclub to follow...

The Yankees of most of my life have been such a heavy LH hitting club....I never thought they would go away from that, but left or right, this is a fun ballclub to follow... Thanks to Casey Stengel many of those 50’s and early 60’s teams were also quite balanced with platooning RHH, as well... But for the most part, the deck was stacked to force opposing managers to want to use LHP. Especially in Yankee Stadium... My mind automatically goes to Ron Blomberg when I think about fine lefty bats. I think it’s because of one particular batting practice display I saw him put on before going 0 fer in the game... |
