The Red Sox are back in second place, but remember to continue to be more concerned about the Rays...They have a better statistical chance of catching us...

They are 9 back in the lost column not 8.
As long as we at least split at home I am not concerned although we will likely lose tomorrow. The real problem is our pitching staff is unlikely to carry us through the play offs. They gambled on a weak group of starting pitcher with high injury possibilities and it did not work out. There is no true ace on this staff.
And yes I know we have won a lot of games. We did not do it on our starting pitching.

If there is anything worse than being swept by Boston, it would be having it happen with A-Rod, Beaming Jessica and Matty bringing us the action in their own inimitable style. If nothing else, the Red Sox should be worn out just from slugging the ball. We are due for at least a mediocre start.

I did not think these were great pitchers. But I am genuinely baffled what has happened over the last 7 games. Averaging ten runs a game or more is remarkable. They aren't this bad.

Doesn't matter if the Yankees win the division or not the Red Sox are right the in the wild card race and could be very competitive in the division series against the Yankees. Better for them to not make it in.

Better for them to not make it in. Which is why most of us were always far more concerned about Boston than Tampa. This pretty much the same team that won the World Series, minus Kimbrel and Joe Kelley. I might skip tomorrow's game, I just not in the mood to put up with that horrible ESPN Sunday Night broadcasting crew.

Then just mute it...
Boston was behind Oakland and Cleveland until we gave them a helping hand.

A sign of just how bad things have been. We are now behind MN and tied with Houston for the AL run differential. We were well ahead until the recent debacles.

One can mute the sound, but the network continually puts that grinning, feckless, trio on camera, sometimes for most of an inning....it is hard to mute that image from your eyes....
