I wonder if Cashman made a joke and some millennial didn’t understand?
“Bring me the head of Alfredo Garcia!”

Cashman is eating the Houston Astros’ dust and has been for the last three years.

You know, I really make a conscious effort to stay a glass-half-full person, but the Houston trade just knocked the wind out of me.

The Astros are definitely the favorites now but I wouldn't hand them the championship just yet.

Well as a glass half empty person I never thought Cashman would make a serious effort to get an elite player. I think we could have gotten one if we had been willing to give up the likes of Andujar but he simply is unwilling any more to trade them. To concerned with being burned or else he simply does not see the need.
Regardless I am a pessimist by nature so that may be entirely wrong. Maybe he tried and no one was interested. But Houston is an elite team and they dealt with them. I just think Cashman is unwilling to give up value for value, even in positions we are stocked at.

It seemed like everyone was raking. Numbers were much more impressive than our minor leaguers.
