Three first basemen who have recently been DFA'd are Tyler Austin, Lucas Duda and Mark Reynolds. Yes, I know they all suck and strike out endlessly. I realize you don't get DFA'd by bad to mediocre teams unless you appear to be hopeless. But that's what's on the scrap heap for the Yankees to pick through. Shouldn't Clint Frazier immediately be working out at first in Scranton? I think I would just stick with Mike Ford. Also, the DJ-Gleyber-DiDi-Gio infield would be terrific defensively. Stanton coming back to be the DH would help. Chi I agree that it would be nice to get Stanton back as DH or anything else. But he hasn't even been cleared to do baseball activities yet. I have to wonder if he will have enough time to get ready for the post-season at this point. |

Cessa isn't great, but he's a better option here than Adams.
