baltimore should offer that kid a contract Just curious. Why did you say that?... Tell me why, and then I’ll tell you why I’m curious... A small child in the stands ended up with a ball. I was making fun of the really poor O's defense

Urshela is not listed in the MLB stats leaders for batting. He would be 4th. I am not sure why he is not listed he has at least 293 at bats. You used to only need 250 at bats to qualify - guess they changed it. You have needed 3.2 PLATE APPEARANCES, not at bats, per game played by your team at least back to the 1962 expansion to qualify...

It's sad to be the only one who danced to Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Les Brown, and others.....music just hasn't been the same since....and the girl singers.....no one to discuss who was better...…...I know you guys never heard her sing, but Julie London was hot....

It is the 7th inning and our starting pitcher is still in and has allowed one run. That is all.

I was making fun of the really poor O's defense Back in the 1960’s and 1970’s the O’s PA announcer would recognize any ball caught by a fan by saying “Give that fan a contract”. I don’t believe they do that now, and am not sure when the practice was discontinued (if it was). I didn’t think you had ever been to Baltimore to see a game, But you accidentally provoked some nostalgia...

I only went to two games ever, one in pittsburg in the 70's and a Yankee game when I lived in Tampa.

You used to only need 250 at bats to qualify - guess they changed it. The standard has always been 3.1 plate appearances per every game your team has played. After tonight, the Yankees have played 114 games, so Geo would need 353 plate appearances to qualify for the batting title, 502 appearances over a 162 game schedule. Opps, just saw that you guys already answered this.

Something I read long ago was wrong or wrongly remembered I can’t be right “except”. I either have to be right or wrong. You are correct. It is 3.1. I had forgotten that which I had remembered... At least we both got our heads screwed back on in the right position...For now..,
