this has been a great year (in terms of the yankees) for people like me who like hitting, good defense, and a lot fewer strike outs. People who don't really like moneyball baseball. I’m with you, Russ. I was usually doing a noetsi, er I mean, whining about wanting better gloves, more speed, and more contact. I was more or less resigned to loving an less than lovable team structure that looked absolutely horrendous when the pitcher kept them off balance and counteracted their power. I hope we can maintain the offensive balance we’ve established...

Once upon a time we did have Rickey Henderson

The offense just rolling right now. I've seen more talented Yankee teams. But I've never seen a more amazing Yankee team. Never.

Torres looks happy
there is a theory that due to random variation all the atoms of a room could flow to one side destroying what they left. That stochastic improbability comes to mind when I watch us most games. Everything seems to just get through when we hit it or get caught by us

That stochastic improbability comes to mind when I watch us most games. Everything seems to just get through when we hit it or get caught by us That’s the other thing we’ve lacked through the years. Stochastic probability. That’s what Cashman’s staff is attempting to disrupt... “Hey Cash. We gotta get this kid. He’s 5’ tall and weighs 402, but he’s stochastic as Hell. Pay the price, Cash. This one is for real...

This is with Judge not showing his usual power as well. I'm still wondering if he's fully over his injury. He looks like he's hurting. Most of his swings he's pulling off. When he's going good he's got his hands in and gets a good look. He's doing it once in a while but it seems to me it may hurt him to swing that way.
