Nuts, I thought that was a DP. One thing I’ve noticed, this Blue Jays’ team hustles their butts off!

Nuts, I thought that was a DP. Ruocco sometimes jumps the gun.

This is the Tanaka we see in the playoffs. Only 91 pitches, let him get a shutout!

A run here would be really nice for Chapman and us.

The only issue with that is that Frazier isn’t hitting at AAA. I know, but he was hitting well in the majors, wheras Ford has looked pretty much like a stiff. A return trip to the majors could rejuvenate Frazier. If not, send him back down. I’d punch McBroom’s ticket before Frazier just on the theory that the best indication someone will hit tomorrow is if they are already hitting. But it requires a roster move.

Phenomenal game for Tanaka. I was going to say best this year but might this be his best ever as a Yankee? The first hit wasn’t really a hit and the error could/should have been caught.

I hope so, and I do get it that he hasn't had much of a shot. When pitchers throw Ford strikes I see a lot of weak ground balls into the shift and pop ups. It's not like he's hitting into bad luck. He works the count and hits mistakes. You can see why he has success at AAA.

Sterling and Waldman having a polite argument about whether or not Tanaka should start the 9th is amusing.

Sterling and Waldman having a polite argument about whether or not Tanaka should start the 9th is amusing. I'll bet there are some serious insights going on there. It included this wisdom: John: Well he’s only thrown 91 pitches Suzyn: But what if they put him out there and a runner gets on and he throws 15 pitches? John: (long pause) well....then he’d have 106 pitches Suzyn: .........

Chapman comes in with a runner already on base. We all know he doesn't hold runners well, so the Jays could be looking to steal a bag here.
