That's the spirit, Inger. It seems to me that any Yankee fan with an ounce of passion for the team has to be irked by the confrontational attitude of some of these lousy umps. Anytime it's ump versus Yankees or anybody versus Yankees, we back our boys. Every effing time. SAVAGES!!! AAAAAaaaaaasggggghhhhh!!!

Ex Yankee great, Nick Goody is having a great year or should I say good year? I was just thinking that I didn’t want to see him go when we dealt him. Here he is at 27, still shuttling back and forth. He entered the day with a 2.15 ERA, but has pitched 21 games at AAA with 7.71 ERA... He's like Clint Frazier, he needs to be in the Show to perform.

Different psychologies for different guys.

Or is he just having a snit in the minors?

I don't recall anyone saying they are losing because of the umpires. Exactly. We would be losing this game in any event. I don't put that on umpiring. But it sure looks like -- and O'Neill and Cone raised this point as former players -- that the umps are making their point to the Yankees about the complaints. Possible that’s happening, which wouldn’t at all be surprising and only makes Gardner’s behavior seem even more irresponsible.

SAVAGES!!! AAAAAaaaaaasggggghhhhh!!! In a box, man, in a box. Thanks. I needed that... This scream therapy actually works better vocally than in type, but we get fewer 911 calls this way... (:

On the game just mentioning that this is the 52nd anniversary of the pitch that hit Tony Conigliaro of the Red Sox in the eye. Although he did manage to fight his way back and even put up another decent season or so, it was never really the same for him. Kind of the hitter's version of Herb Score.
That guy was on an early HOF track, although we can never know. But few players were that good that young.
