That's the spirit, Inger. It seems to me that any Yankee fan with an ounce of passion for the team has to be irked by the confrontational attitude of some of these lousy umps. Anytime it's ump versus Yankees or anybody versus Yankees, we back our boys. Every effing time. If that’s the definition of a “true fan”, count me out. It does appear as though this particular bunch of umps has had rabbit ears and a tendency to want to confront the Yankee players and dugout. If that’s true then one would hope that they have their reasons to do that and place the onus on Boone to find out why and correct the situation. If that’s Gardner bearing on the roof or Boone himself bitching too much, then he needs to fix it. Something doesn’t smell right these last couple of days...

If that’s the definition of a “true fan”, count me out. I agree, but was not brave enough to say it. Hey, we all have different degrees of passion. I didn't say it made anyone less of a fan. It's probably better for your digestive system to have a more detached and clinical attitude toward winning or losing. Wouldn't work for me, but whatever floats your boat.

Hey. Russ. Now that we know your real name... Just curious... What is “noetsi”?... is there a meaning or reason for that?...

I have used it here for about 20 years I would guess.

I’m beating on my ceiling right now. I had to have a special bat made because we have a vaulted ceiling here in the living room. And the plaster repair costs are getting crazy, so I have the guy at Plaster-R-Us on a retainer...

For religious and personal reasons I try hard not to get mad.... anger is something I try really hard to avoid. Or passion.

On the game just mentioning that this is the 52nd anniversary of the pitch that hit Tony Conigliaro of the Red Sox in the eye. Although he did manage to fight his way back and even put up another decent season or so, it was never really the same for him. Kind of the hitter's version of Herb Score. That guy was on an early HOF track, although we can never know. But few players were that good that young. He was something but after he got plunked he was just a shell.

Incidentally I agree its ridiculous to throw people out for hitting a bat against a wall on the bench. The umpires need to be smarter than that. I just doubt the ball and strike calls are deliberately aimed at the Yankees. Incompetence is the issue

He's like Clint Frazier, he needs to be in the Show to perform. Do you think that is what is up with Frazier. Or is he just having a snit in the minors? Probably not, but it's hard to figure out Frazier.

He convinced me you were a great guy in a moment of my weakness... (: Okay. I sort of like that. I think more of disruptive technologies than of invasions, but have a similar philosophy. I got to wondering about your choice of names last night, when I noticed that kid the Yanks used to have named Noesi was scheduled to pitch for someone...
