This really wasn't the shift more than it was playing in the infield in when you're up two runs. That single is probably a ground out with the infield back, they did the same thing last night. ground out would still have been a run there so it did not really matter. It mattered last night and tonight it made Paxton throw more pitches. It's just not smart baseball. |
