I think Boone's line ups make limited sense as he puts players that hit worse than other players well ahead for long periods of times. His batting Hicks 3rd repeatedly is one of the more obvious examples. He never seems ot have paid attention to their statistics. Torres batting 8th is another example of this. But of course I could not manage a major league team I agree. I don't think some fans realize how difficult it can be to manage the egos that exist on the roster of an MLB team. Joe Fan could never do it, because the players wouldn't respect them, which means they would listen to word any of us say. the players aren't supposed to make decisions.

This umpire is a joke, but Gleyber gets a hit anyway.

Boone pisses me off sometimes and I don’t agree with everything he does. I also realize that these players aren’t Strat-O-Matic cards that perform on demand, never get tired or have a problem at home. It’s not the decision that should be the focus, it’s the assembly of information (which includes the management of egos that Chi mentioned) that leads to the decision. We are all too uninformed to question his decisions, but it’s human nature at times to do so...

Right, but it happens with teams with bad managers who lose the clubhouse.

why bunt with two strikes in the 9th with no one on. Don't get that. He was trying “noetsi ball” out... (:

Caught a break there. Now we really need an extra base hit.

In slow motion gardner did nothing wrong. Looked different at first.

I don't get this, what was Gardner supposed to do in that situation? I thought the yankees were arguing he was safe not the LA manager doing the challenge Yeah bases loaded. Now we just freaking need a sac fly. Don't hit it on the ground
