It was just sort of a semi-translucent brownish goo that defied any particular descriptive flavor. It really was okay in that I didn’t hate it. Mind you I hate catsup, mustard, mayonnaise, etc.. I also didn’t go ga-ga in love with it, either. It was just there. I would have preferred those little sliders plain. I’ve always said that if I’m going to eat meat, I want to taste meat, not condiments... Ah, you’re a condiment contrarian! What about pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, relish...are those banished as well? Him and Michael Kay.  |

It’s not the taste, it’s the texture that I find offensive, so I can also eat them if they’re minced extremely fine...garlic must be minced or powdered, too though I live the flavor... It’s hard to make spaghetti sauce for me, but I love it when it’s right. Ruth can eat Ragu. Can you believe that? Ugh... |

Steve Goodman died too young. The songwriter of the American standard, “City of New Orleans.” I didn’t know he wrote that. Wonderful song. I knew he did those goofy political records in the 70’s or 80’s... He was an ardent Cubs’ fan, writing “Go Cubs Go” and “When the Cubs Go Marching In” and “A Dying Cub Fan’s Last Request.” |
