My guess is that they almost have to put him on the roster but as much as I admire CC I can't see how he could help the team. Did you not see the first inning? I did. He struggled against a very weak lineup.

Yesterday I had to watch the Angels broadcast. I learned that Simmons has the nickname “Simba”. It seems a poor fit... more like “Cricket Head”...

Going back to last half inning, that's embarrassing letting Pujols steal on you like that without a throw.

Like I said yesterday, he is fine early. After 25 pitches, he should be batter to batter. That’s why I see him as an opener, rather than a starter. Rizz, I’d agree, but only if that was a last resort. I don’t like playing this opener stuff in post-season, to be honest... As I said yesterday, if Paxton, Tanaka, Severino and German do their jobs, Sabathia won’t see an opportunity to open or start; however, he is still very tough on lefties and is still effective for his first 25 pitches. After that, it’s wise to go batter to batter.

Did you not see the first inning? I did. He struggled against a very weak lineup. He gave up a bunt hit and a single to right, no runs, no walks. Then, he struck out the side in the second, no runs, no walks. Then he struck out the first batter in the third. You’re right, that is zero value...
