Snell vs Montgomery Yankees are 10-6 vs the Rays this year and 40-30 vs the AL East. They have winning records against everyone in their division, but Toronto.

Need to do a better job getting those tack on runs on the board.

Need to do a better job getting those tack on runs on the board. Need to stomp on their necks when they're down. Especially in the playoffs.

Speaking of Cashman's guy...Since Hicks returned from his injury in August, from August 6 to September 2, he hit .207/.209/.345. To his credit, he has hit 3 HR in those 22 games and has 11 RBI, but that slash line looks an awful lot like the old slash lines that he was putting up in Minnesota. Shhh! Don't tell anyone, and maybe some idiot GM will snap him up under the advice of TMarino and his secret friends at ESPN...and might trade us a young starting pitcher that doesn't use his bottom half and will likely be sent to the bullpen for him...

It won't matter. You know Girardi will use Ellsbury to no end in the playoffs. We won't see much of Cashman's Guy. Maybe against a lefty here or there.

Yankees clinch homefield for the Wild Card game but they are still alive for the division! I didn't want to say anything until the lead dropped to at least 2 games back because we can seemingly never do better than 3 back, but you are absolutely right!

Ellsbury in September has been exceptional and he's a threat on the bases, which is why I'd DH him. Sit Holliday for right handed power off the bench. Gardner, Hicks, and Judge comprise the Yankees' best defensive outfield.
