Well isn't he the freaking hero? A lot of things could have gone wrong on that deal. Like the 15-year old could have maybe decided to run and Brown might have shot him...Or the adult could have been armed (or let's face it, both thieves might have been armed). He took a chance and perhaps even left himself open to charges...but then again, this here is Georgia, boy...Does anyone remember the movie "Macon County Line"? I was a low-budget drive-in hit from the 1970's, and I recall taking my ex to the movie...Max Baer, Jr. produced and directed, as well as playing the role of the local sheriff...

"According to a report by The (Macon) Telegraph, Brown hid in a neighbor's yard and waited for the alleged thieves to swipe some mail."
He's got nothing better to do than hide in a neighbor's yard and wait for mail thieves?

Okay, so this is a quick change of subject, but with so many strike outs in today's game...This is a bit of an oddity. The year is 2004. The Milwaukee Brewers are not a good team, finishing with a 67-94 record at the bottom of the Central Division. The closer is Danny Kolb, who won the closer's job the season before while recording 21 saves. Kolb is 29 years old and is entrusted with the closer's role from the beginning of the season. In fact, he claims 39 of the teams 42 total saves for the season. So here is the oddity. Kolb, who had saved 21 games while fanning 39 batters in 2003, recorded 39 saves while only striking out 21 batters for the season. That's 3.3 K per 9 innings...I have to think that no other pitcher has managed to have such an odd ratio of K's to saves...perhaps never that low of a K rate while recording 20+ saves...Almost certainly not while recording 30+ saves... www.baseball-reference.com/players/k/kolbda01.shtml

[img class="smile" src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/udcwFqPimnXDtjoTmoVL.gif" alt=" "] I have a brother that is extremely protective of everything he owns. He waxes his vehicles obsessively, so much so that he once had to take a pickup truck he owns to the paint shop because he had waxed all the paint off it. On Halloween he will remove his mail box, takes the screen out of the storm door so his wife can hand out candy without opening the door, etc.. He also hides in the shrubs to watch and assure that no one is going to soap his windows or *shudder at the thought* throw an egg at his house. Of course, if they pull into his drive way with a car, as soon as they leave he rushes out with a flash light to make sure that if the car was leaking any fluids he can wipe them up immediately...I've often watched him in my rear view mirror while leaving his house and seen him go out to inspect the driveway for leaks. If you ever need a clean eating surface for picnic, go to my brothers house and spread out in the drive way. Just be aware he may be watching from a nearby shrub, and make sure to clean up your crumbs...and PLEASE, use a tippy cup...no spills. He'll appreciate that... There are stories that we all tell about his odd nature of protecting and cleaning to a point of obsession. Some we laugh at. Some are almost sad, but it seems to keep him happy...

We grew up very poor. He says that he remembers all the days of having nothing and that drives him to take care of what he has. He also saves EVERYTHING...parts off broken things that he "might be able to use someday". So, he blames it on his fear of losing everything, in spite of being quite financially secure now (he married well). Somehow, the rest of us (there were six)...have less of that in us...

Didi seems like a nice, intelligent guy, but that is an infantile pain in the ass of a Tweet system...

Two things...
As a kid on mischief night my buddies and I went out... Mind you were like 12... And we had toilet paper and shaving cream... No eggs... And we went to do this random house up and the owner comes out of the bushes with a shotgun threatening to kill us because he has a baby inside the house or something. Sounds like he could be related lol.
Second. How is Domingo German an ant. Am I missing something???

I'm sure there's some young Yankee game (under 12) who look forward to Didi tweets and that's who he's catering to. That might've came off the wrong way and if it did my bad. I've been throwing up all night after knocking myself out last night

You have to ask Didi.
