Two things... As a kid on mischief night my buddies and I went out... Mind you were like 12... And we had toilet paper and shaving cream... No eggs... And we went to do this random house up and the owner comes out of the bushes with a shotgun threatening to kill us because he has a baby inside the house or something. Sounds like he could be related lol. Second. How is Domingo German an ant. Am I missing something??? I looked it up on the internet yesterday and I couldn't find anything. It's a mystery. You have to ask Didi. I referenced Freud about this and he says that sometimes an ant is just an ant...(Or maybe he was running out of ideas)...But do note that the ant IS big and black, just like German...

People were speculating that the pitching mound is like an ant hill or something. Who knows.

Looking on Didi Twitter to see why Domingo German nicknamed the ant and found this gem. This is same kid that said he was treating the Yanks/Astros series in beginning of year like the playoffs and then literally cried in a Twitter video about how the Yankees reacted to their wins like it was a playoff series and pretty much wished death on Sanchez. Kid needs to be put on some kinda watch list... Hope he can't own a gun... image.ibb.co/eyjEPd/Screenshot_2018_06_15_09_47_13.png

My grandma just woke up... gonna wait for her to have some coffee then talk to her about it. I was thinking... with Sano getting sent down to A ball to work himself out of his slump.. would it be crazy to do the same with Sanchez for a couple weeks? Get outta his head, work on some things, this way we can have the REAL Sanchez back for the stretch run? Instead of him sitting for a few days here and there to work on things, just send him to the minors to work on things for a week or two... no shame in that. I probably WOULDN'T do it, but playing "devils advocate" What are your opinions? Here's some info on the Sano situation: www.startribune.com/twins-send-miguel-sano-to-minors-after-loss-to-tigers/485595781/Also, Sano's OPS+ 84... Sanchez 93... All those bombs have Sanchez close to league average.. but man , his slumps SUCK. This is not the Sanchez we all know and love.

I didn't realize that. I also just came on here because I saw on RABs mailbag for today that someone suggested the same exact thing I did. I didn't get to read the response though which prolly mentioned the options

Between Sanchez, Didi and Gardner...the Yankees have suffered three horrendous batting slumps this season...WOW...I hope we can put those behind us for the season and see some unbelievable hot streaks to balance them out...
(Well, Didi already had one, and Gardner has pretty much been IN one...but come on guys, let's all have some more)!!!
Then we also had the Sonny Gray early season debacle and the start of the season bullpen woes...yet, look where we are! I can't wait until we start to play well...

Also Bird and Stanton have played no where near their capabilities. Its a wonder our record is so good. Its a testament to the rooks Torres and Andujar. Imagine when the offense really heats up!

In the game thread I mentioned that I was wondering if Nathan Eovaldi, with a career mark of 6.6 Ks per nine innings might have the lowest K rate per 9 innings of any MLB pitcher that can throw 100 MPH. So then I find this article about this kid named Jordan H-I-C-K-S that is critiquing his lack of K's despite his 100 MPH fast ball. Well, to be fair to Jordan, at the time the article was written, the criticism was based on a small sample of 11.2 innings during which he had fanned 6 batters, which is a 4.8 K rate per nine innings. Since then, he's fanned 22 in 23.1 additional innings and now has his K rate up to 7.2.
tinyurl.com/ya3snaerI think Eovaldi will remain the king of the 100 MPH non-strikeout producers...Let me know if you find another...or can think of a candidate...Starter or reliever. I don't care. Just not a small sample. That's a waste of time, just like the article above was a waste of news print by an idiot reporter that should have waited to see if there was a real story... EDIT: Christ, kaybli...your trap even caught the name in the link...

EDIT: Christ, kaybli...your trap even caught the name in the link... There was a Eovaldi-like pitcher in the late 40's named Rex Barney, except he did strikeout people.....no gun stats, but surely over 100 on his fastball....great stuff, but lacked command, and would usually walk a couple, zone a fastball, and it would get hit hard.........like Eovaldi, he never fulfilled a huge potential....
