I guess this falls into the Miscellaneous category -- I see where Julia Ruth Stevens, daughter of The Babe, died a few months shy of her 103rd birthday. It was appropriate that the Yankees had her throw out the first ball in the final game played on the site of the original Yankee Stadium, the one her father figuratively built. She only ever had good things to say about her adoptive father. She outlived him by over 70 years, and her life span was nearly double his.
Although The Babe packed well over 100 years of living into the 53 he was allotted.

My average shirt is probably older than Kaybli...
My average tee shirt is probably older than kaybli’s dad...
If I hit the “big one” on the lottery, I would probably move, but only to have more land and privacy, I would prefer a modest-sized home.
I don’t slobber over new cars, preferring to run them until they’re pretty much cooked...
I do like my clothing for work to be decent, so I shop the out of season, 50%-75% off clearance racks for that. I rebranded my work shirts after I retired with embroidered patches (a lot of them pretty new)...

Are we at the game yet? I can’t wait to see some baseball. My, the gnats are aggressive here...that one barked at me, and shook the screening... A ball? That was a ball? Young man, watch where you throw those balls. We’re on the way to a baseball game and that one just hit my windshield. I’m not sure if I’m driving or my husband is. He died two years ago, you know... |
