I admit I read it regularly.
Yes, Axisa can be a dope, but it's almost the only blog that puts in the effort to follow games and have some thoughtful analysis. Whats the alternative now? Pinstripe Alley?

WOW.
I bet Lebron was behind this!
And right before the start of the playoffs......oh, that's right, the Lakers aren't in the playoffs.

Back when I cared about the NBA, I enjoyed watching Magic play quite a bit, but that was a long time ago. I like the sport and enjoy college hoops a lot but can't tolerate the NBA at all.

Someone mentioned the Wee Willie Keeler quote "Hit'em where they ain't" the other night. I saw this color photo of the man himself on Twitter, I love these old baseball portraits.

I did that colorization one day in Elementary school. It was the day Timmy Johnson puked and the teacher sent him to the nurses office, leaving his 64-pack of Crayolas unguarded for over and hour and a half. I wore gloves while I used his periwinkle on the sky because...you know... he got some on that one...But baseball skies must have periwinkle. It’s the color of a bright sunny day...Glad y’all enjoyed my work...

That's a great portrait of Wee Willie in action. I've never seen that one. Like you, I love that stuff.
My favorite old time baseball picture is still the famous one of Ty Cobb sliding into third base while NY Highlander third baseman Jimmy Austin is fielding the throw. That photographer really captured the split second.

Yep, the black and white one. Jeez, that colorized version looks like it was done by one of those early TBS movie colorizers. Like a bad painting by that guy who does the schlock with the exaggerated lighting. Can't think of his name.
