If my first marriage were still intact, this would have been our 50th anniversary. I’m glad I’ve moved on from that life. It wasn’t good for a long time… Happy you are in a good place now inger! |

I'm almost 70 an have never been married. Then again, why would I marry anyone who would marry me? Gloria and I have been together going on 17 years and though we never married, I still call her my wife. |

I'm almost 70 an have never been married. Then again, why would I marry anyone who would marry me? Gloria and I have been together going on 17 years and we though we never married, I still call her my wife. We must be very close in age. I was born 1-24-54. Ruthie and I lived together for a year before we got hitched, waiting for divorce from # 1. I thought when #1 ended I would never marry again, but… I met somebody and it worked out the way it did. If you’ve been with Gloria for 17 years and you’re both content with that arrangement, why not? Be happy! I feel good at least knowing that if I kick the bucket before Ruthie she’ll at least have about 2.5 x in social security vs. what she would have gotten on her own. If she goes first…. Well, that’s the breaks for me. Might sell the house and downsize even more… but it looks like we’re in this for the duration… |
