Up bright and early today to enjoy the thrill of having a tooth pulled. It’s one of those teeth that has struggled for years. Been drill and filled and tapped, has a screw in it. The nerve is dying, it got infected a while back and I had to have meds. It wasn’t easy finding a dentist in this valley with an opening on his schedule, so this guy is about 20 miles away from here. He must hardly ever get out of his office, he’s older and doesn’t look healthy in the sense that he’s very “soft” and even “mushy” looking. It’s almost like I’m going to have the Sta-Puff marshmallow man yanking my tooth out. I hate giving up in a tooth, but I’ve fought for this one long enough. Twenty years ago I’d have said let’s fix this thing, but at dang near 70, it’s too much money, and just seems like it’s time to let go… Hope everything goes well inger!

At least I get to take the Hummer on the 50+ round trip. I appreciated the use of that old beater car, but was really not going to be thrilled to drive it that far for fear of it breathing its last breath with me behind the wheel. We went about 100 miles round trip in it the Hummer last night. So far it’s shifting smoothly. Well, I’m off to see the the Wizard of Tooth… The only other one I ever had pulled was when I was 17, which was also the first time I ever saw a dentist (and that because I was working for my own money to pay him). That was the same tooth on the other side, and had a horrible history even before my adult teeth came in. Just never meant to be…

Probably no corn on the cob or peanut brittle on the menu tonight. I don't know though, implants aren't cheap but they sure make a difference no matter how old you are.

He’s lost about 100 pounds in less than a year. There’s still a lot of him, but he’s just regular fat guy now…

He’s lost about 100 pounds in less than a year. There’s still a lot of him, but he’s just regular fat guy now… Glad it went well! After examining the “body”, I made the right decision. There was some bone mass missing on the roots, and some of the tooth that was under the original filling and cap had broken or rotted away. A root canal would have most likely been wasted money, as the tooth was either dead or near death. I don’t think I’m going to need any pain management. I took some Tylenol when I got home, but it’s worn off and I’m fine…

How hot is it here??? We need to put A/C Units in our Dog Houses: View AttachmentOne of biggest worries was my Health and the Yankees not making the WS while I am alive. I have come to terms with both of these worries knowing/accepting my health is going down and that the Yanks will not make the WS this year or next, next, next with Cash and Boone in charge. My latest worry I have had for years but that now has the #1 Ranking = Climate Change Viruses from the heat melting the Ice. www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/time-travelling-zombie-viruses-are-reawakening-from-melting-ice/ar-AA1erynj?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=7ea3d6938d344b988c73c5f3ac3b3a9b&ei=33Time-travelling 'zombie' viruses are reawakening from melting icewww.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/worms-revived-after-46-000-years-in-siberian-permafrost/ar-AA1erATr?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=8d55e25778de4e03a891a07b0359166d&ei=19Talk about a long nap. Scientists said they have revived worms buried in Siberian permafrost for 46,000 years. The half-dozen creatures, a type of nematode or roundworm, were last awake when Neanderthals and woolly mammoths roamed the Earth. They survived for millennia in permafrost by entering a state of suspended animation, according to a paper published Thursday in the journal PLOS Genetics. Genetic testing suggests the worms are a new and possibly extinct species, researchers said. news.yahoo.com/dangerous-fungus-becoming-more-prevalent-160107633.htmlSEATTLE (AP) — In 2016, hospitals in New York state identified a rare and dangerous fungal infection never before found in the United States. Research laboratories quickly mobilized to review historical specimens and found the fungus had been present in the country since at least 2013. In the years since, New York City has emerged as ground zero for Candida auris infections. And until 2021, the state recorded the most confirmed cases in the country year after year, even as the illness has spread to other places, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data analyzed by The Associated Press. Candida auris is a globally emerging public health threat that can cause severe illness, including bloodstream, wound and respiratory infections. Its mortality rate has been estimated at 30% to 60%, and it's a particular risk in healthcare settings for people already with serious medical problems. Last year, the most cases were found in Nevada and California, but the fungus was identified clinically in patients in 29 states. New York state remains a major hotspot. A prominent theory for the sudden explosion of Candida auris, which was not found in humans anywhere until 2009, is climate change.

My bocce team is now 7-2 and in firm grasp of third place behind two undefeated teams. I've been locked in and have started hearing "The Assassin" whispered behind my back.
