Tonight is the night for the Kentucky Habitat For Humanity bourbon lottery. Keeping my fingers crossed. If I win anything, I will save a bottle to share with pipps, rizz and whoever wants to join us.

I didn't win any bourbon. I guess I'll drown my sorrows in...........bourbon. I’d suck down a Coors Banquet for you if I hadn’t just eaten a chocolate protein cookie. I have a small concrete project to do. Maybe when I’m finished…

The gravel addiction continues...
These are bigger than gravel. Over time they’re getting smaller though. I’ve always taken the biggest I dared to lift or could lift. I think the biggest I’ve nabbed in a couple years was maybe 80-90 pounds…

Here’s how the world of the ingers works. This morning I’m finishing stage two of my breakfast at about 10:30 and Ruth gets up. I’m planning on going outside to start doing my concrete job, and Ruthie asks if we’re “still going” to a farmers market in Del Norte, about 45 minutes away. I had no idea she wanted to go, but we agree to go.
Then, an hour later we decide to go to a flea market that’s only about 30 minutes away instead. On the way there we see an out of the way sign for a garage sale, and we stop.
We see an old oak kitchen table that would be an upgrade over the piece we’re using now and they only want $25 bucks for it. There’s also a medicine cabinet in decent shape for $5. Some big feed pots that would make nice “too tall for rabbits planters for the front of the house. They want $6 per piece and there are 4 of them.
We decide to pass on the pots and offer $25 for the table if they throw in the medicine cabinet, they accept. The table has to be partially disassembled because the middle row seats in the Hummer don’t lay flat. No problem. We load up and we’re ofc to the flea market.
When we get to the location we don’t see anything so I check my phone and see that there’s another one in town. Off we go a few more blocks. We get to the site and it’s packed with cars and looks like a very busy place. We have to park further away than Ruthie can walk without resting 1/2 way to the door.
We get there and find out that thr flea market at that site was closed down and they’re having a Native American “Pow-Wow” there. As seniors we get in free. So in we go. There’s a taco stand inside in a little food trailer but there’s a sign that says “closed for 20 minutes”. Apparently the operator got there late. Okay. I wait 20 minutes. 40 minutes. Now it’s looking promising. The lady comes sweeping the ramp off to the trailer and sets up a little condiment table, but she walks past the sign that says closed for twenty minutes on one side and open on the other. Anc she strolls to the rest room.
I’m an understanding sort, so I figure she’s getting that out of the way before she opens and gets inundated with hungry customers. But she comes back and goes back in the trailer and starts fiddling around again.
I’ve heard enough Native American drums and singing by then to last me a lifetime, so Ruth and I decide to just leave and go somewhere else to grab lunch. I go to fetch the car to save Ruthie some walking and after all the racket indoors one of the Natives from the shoe follows me, wearing cowbells on his shoes. Aaaaggghhh!
We wind up eating at Chile’s. Good lunch/dinner actually. Now I still have concrete to do, but it’s getting late and I’m tired. Tomorrow I suppose… 🤓

I forgot to mention that I still need to unload and reassemble said oak table by myself (too much for Fuyhie to handle) and remove the existing POS table out of the house… Fun times. I’m not complaining. Other than a bit of oil or stain, it’s a fine table and I like it quite a bit. I need to find us a bench to go on each side of perhaps a couple chairs for one side and a bench for the other and we’ll be really “movin’ on up”…😂
We sold our original kitchen set when we moved. at the time we thought it to be too big for what we were planning to build. Mistakes were made… 😠

Thanks for the glimpse into the life of inger. Sounds like you are still quite active. I try to stay active, Billy. In fact, that’s one part of why we moved a year ago. The heat where we lived was restricting my activities too much. Pueblo, Co can get unbearable. But I’m still just a child of 69 years. I managed to get the old table into the house, but I did have to get some minimal assistance from Ruthie. I reassembled it and it’s in its permanent spot. It won’t get refinished until winter’s bite drives me inside. Too much to do outside for now.
