My trip was moved from “Tuesday to Thursday” to “Wednesday to Friday” so I’ll be around tomorrow. I’m not going to be around on Thursday either. A couple that we were close with in Pueblo West that moved to the Arkansas/Missouri border just before we moved is coming back to the neighborhood to visit with the old neighborhood for a couple days and we’d like to see them. I think they moved almost as close to the epicenter of the New Madrid earthquake fault as is possible, but they love it there. Kind of explains why they bought a property that would have been close to $850K here for $195K…

My trip was extended another day. I’ll be back home Saturday afternoon. So I will miss Saturdays game too unfortunately. Let’s go Yankees! . Have a joyful journey. I didn’t see a single pitch yesterday, nor did I peek at the score until after the game. Surprisingly I survived, the team won without my support. It’s all good…

I'm checking in to check out and so Kaybli doesn't call 911 for an unexcused absence. We're heading off tomorrow for a week and a half or so of hiking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and on a segment of the Appalachian Trail before heading over to Nashville for a bit. We haven't been to Nashville in about 30 years; it's a far different place than it was then. I recently learned that the world's largest Buc-Ees opened last year in Sevierville TN, birthplace of Dolly Parton, so that is definitely now on the itinerary. There is a statue of Dolly in front of the courthouse in Sevierville. I will be happy to offer my artistic evaluation when we get back and avoid the obvious remarks. As Dolly herself observed, "it takes a lot of money to look this cheap."
I hope the Yanks keep this amazing run going. I'll try to pop in now and then, but WiFi isn't so strong on top of Old Smoky.

Love that area in the mountains. Despite it's kitsch, I love Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. There's a big guitar store in Sevierville, I think. Has some famous people's guitars there. But alas, if you're looking for lefty guitars, you won't find many out of the hundreds they have. Cool store, though. Have fun!
