I'm watching the O's vs White Sox game and I keep seeing ads for Chicago style Vienna hot dogs and I really want one. My favorite hot dog and haven't had one in years. As the famous American, Homer Simpson once said, "drool, drool". Hey chi, can you help me out? When I still lived in NJ, I worked next to a mom and pop pizza place that served the best Italian Hot Dogs. Anyone ever had one? No but I looked it up and it sounds delicious! Making me hungry when I was supposed to stop eating for the night lol. I might order some from Uber Eats this weekend.

Great Chicago Style hot dogs at Coors Field... That's the one! Inger would be picking and brushing things off like an archeologist.

Inger would be picking and brushing things off like an archeologist. Chicago folks like to put all that stuff on a hot dog, but no Ketchup! Put ketchup on a dog and they think you're weird.

Inger would be picking and brushing things off like an archeologist. I’d have to send it through a car wash before eating all that “stuff” on there…

We also liked to drink birch beer with our dogs, so maybe we were just goofy!?

I was born in Scranton as was my mom and dad. I've probably had ketchup on a dog as a ute but never as an adult. Might explain my Mom's ketchup on steak choice. I did enjoy a good birch beer from time to time.

I've only been to the Scranton area a couple of times, I do remember that our local ABC and NBC TV affiliates were from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
