They’re good enough to win it all but I don’t think they will. My guess is they outslug the Twinkies and lose to Houston. Which will be disappointing but they’ve been a ton of fun to root for this year.

I think Houston's dominant starting pitching gives them an edge, but I agree the Yankees are well capable of winning it all. After all of the soap opera this year with the insane injuries, it seems like the script is supposed to end with the Yanks taking it.
Of course I had that same feeling in 2001, for different reasons.

Wild Card:
A's over Rays
Nats over Brew Crew
ALDS:
Yanks over Twins
A's over Astros (I don't know why, I just think it's going to happen)
Dodgers over Nats
Cards over Braves
LCS:
Yanks over A's (We're back after a 10 year absence)
Cards over Dodgers (Upsets happen - FOX TV people are so heartbroken)
Word Series:
Yanks over Cards - Champs again!!!

So the consensus is the A's beat the Ray's and the A's beat the Stro's... then the Yanks beat the Twinkies and the Yank beat the A's.... Sounds good to me!!!

They beat the Twinkies 3-1, the A's beat the Astros, we beat the A's 4-2, and then take the WS from the Dodgers in 7 games! I think the A's have a better shot at beating the Astros than people are giving them. While the Yankees struggled in Oakland this year they did win the series at Yankee stadium so I do like their chances vs them with the Yankees having home field. I think one thing that's clouding the judgment on the Yankees for some is all these lower end pitchers like gerrin blowing games. These pitchers won't be starting in the post season plus one advantage I feel the Yankees have over these teams is Stanton, Severino, Judge and a couple others missed long periods of time this year. These guys are far from fatigued and should be fresher than most. |

LOL. I'm kinda glad we're playing the Twins instead of the w/c winner. Especially after how the Rays series went down. Yanks better catch fire.
