I hope you're right. My good friend is dying of cancer and he's a lifelong Cards fan. We had breakfast last Friday and we were talking about how cool it would be for a Yanks/Cards series. Best wishes to your friend. Cancer sucks! For sure. In addition to my half sister who has brain cancer, I now have an older (76 yrs) full sister that has a form of stomach cancer that at least has an 85% recovery rate from chemotherapy only. Cancer seems to love our family... My last remaining brother is 73, and needs surgery for a pinched nerve in his back that affects him all the way down his leg (sounds like sciatica to me). Getting old apparently stinks...

Times for the first two games: Thanks Chi! Important info since I will be going to game 2! Good for you, kaybli... I’ll simply need to slide into my recliner at 3:07 MT and hit the remote. Of course with this bitchin’ fine-ass cable system I’ll probably have to roll through the entire menu while hoping it isn’t blacked out in favor of the “International Smucker’s Jams and Jellies 4H Greased Pig Chase” from Beijing...

I think Oakland is the interesting team. Who might lose the first game or win the WS I would say we or Houston will win the WS. We have played poorly recently and the injuries to EE and Betances as well as German's control problems are scary in terms of how far we will go.

Prediction: The team with the best hitting, pitching, and home field advantage throughout the postseason belongs to the Houston Astros, who also were the hottest team in MLB down the stretch. To me, they are the favorites to win it all. The only team capable of beating them in a seven game series is the New York Yankees; however, the Yankees’ uneven play of late shall prevent them from moving past the Twins.
But, I sure hope I’m wrong...
