So it looks like the Yankees might actually be Walking into the home field advantage for the rest of the playoffs if the rays can pull off the upset tomorrow as they would have better records than nats rays cardinals.

Well, does anyone believe Harper is second guessing his decision to leave the Nationals? What a turn about: Nationals vs. Cardinals!

So much for the Joe Kelly Fight Club. He didn’t have much fight in him last night.

Clayton Kershaw continues his miserable post-season record. A Hall of Fame shoo-in, the best ERA+ of any starting pitcher in baseball history (at 157, second only to Mo's ridiculous 205, and just above Pedro's 154), and he flat-out sucks in October. In 32 games, he has an ERA of 4.43, which is almost exactly two runs per game higher than his career ERA.
Other than his age 20 rookie season, his worst single season ERA was 3.03, in this year of the rocket ball.
I suppose you can make the argument that you face better hitting in the post-season (although it doesn't seem to affect Walker Buehler that way), but even allowing for that, his numbers are way out of whack.
This guy legitimately belongs in the conversation with names like Walter Johnson and Lefty Grove and Sandy Koufax and Roger Clemens and Pedro Martinez. And I know some of them had post-season bumps as well. But he just looks like a different pitcher in October.

LA was considered a super team by a lot of pundits this year. They did not get out of the play off gate.

I don't know much about pitching but Cole's fastball looks like the Burnette/Farnsworth flat type...
