That too. I mean it's 1-1 not 2-0 and obviously you would sign up for 1-1 any day on the road. Just annoying because Astros offense really wasn't lighting the world on fire. Just annoying cause this was a winnable game. Oh well. Got to turn the page. Yea very similar to the 2017 ALCS Game 2 with Gary not making the tag properly and keeping in the game vs Verlander. However this time its 1-1 and not 2-0. |

Bullpen went 8.2 IP 3H 2R 4 BB 9K
They didn't give up a hit between Ottavino's exit (Bottom 5) and Happ's HR allowed (Bottom 11).

If there’s anything to that, that’s really frustrating. This happened earlier this year and I thought they had solved it. I feel like it has been an issue for Yankees pitchers before in big games, from Pettitte to Severino. It’s one thing to just get beaten by a better team, another if you’re allowing them to get an advantage in this way. |

The Yanks came to Houston to get a split and that's what they did, although they let a golden opportunity to take both games get away. They obviously need more production from certain members of the lineup.

Thank you sierchio for making an old man's day. Anyway far too many strikeouts from 4-6 in our batting order. Not a lot of options on the bench unless Stanton gets over all his boo boos.
