I’ve never been to Houston, but I used to ship a tremendous number of tulip and daffodil bulbs there back in 2004. Those horse farms down there put on an amazing show in the spring when they’re having buyers in to look at the colts they have for sale...
It wasn’t unusual for some of those places to get 75-100 crates of bulbs...The planting alone was a tremendous amount of work...

I'm just not ready for this season to end. We should be able to handle the bullpen game.

I'm just not ready for this season to end. We should be able to handle the bullpen game. Atta way to be, Pipps. There’s always a touch of sadness in my heart when a season ends. Perhaps even more so as I get older, since we have no idea if we’ll see another one. And as far as I’m concerned, when the Yankees go home, the season has ended. Nothing else matters at that point...

I confess it was pretty discouraging after game four. It's still a tough path ahead, but it's at least conceivable. I always watch the postseason even if the Yankees aren't in it. But of course the passion level plummets.

It’s not likely good, Pipps. There’s humidity there. With humidity comes rain, and with that comes grass. Gravel becomes much less necessary. A town without gravel will never own my heart. Not just gravel, but sometimes there must be rocks, too. And boulders. I have 5 boulders on my yard. They were there when I bought the place. Since they’re on the property line, I thought they belonged to the neighbors at first. They’re not the color of boulders I would have bought, and I’m not fond of their placement either. I want people to know they’re mine. Maybe I’ll move them one day... I bring rocks home sometimes when we go to the mountains. Just stuff I can pick up by myself mind you. Not as big as the ones I brought with me from Maryland. I was younger then. Dang, I could lift some big rocks in those days. Are we still talking about Houston? Good! Then whip their asses!...

What a wonderful win! This team needs to show a little grit by making a comeback. Just take care of business tomorrow and Houston just may start feeling the pressure. Anything can happen in game seven. The Yankees are due to bust out offensively. Tomorrow might as well be the time! Geaux Yankees!
