Maybe we should hire Cora for a technical rep. He did a lot for Houston and Boston He should move to a remote land that never heard of baseball...

Wow. They could definitely repeat as division champs again if Berrios, Odorizzi. and Pineda are up to speed. Only to get swept by us again in the playoffs.

I like when the Twins have a good team and win the division so we can crush them in the playoffs.

Our old friend is still playing: From the moment we acquired Neil Walker I smelled rotting flesh on that deal. Never had any player ever done little to impress so many than Walker. A couple of hot streaks made believers of the masses. I recall checking his stats after we picked him and to be honest, I thought his stats to be better than I expected with Pittsburgh and the Mets, so I thought I was missing something. Nope. Rotting carcass...Maybe Girardi can fall in love with him. Call him “My infield Stewie”...

Pittsburgh trades Marte to the D-Backs. I'm not sure why the Pirates are even in the league anymore, what a waste of a great ballpark.

The Reds meanwhile continue going the other way, signing Nick Castellanos to a four year deal. I like it when a team at least tries.

The Reds haven't bee afraid of throwing around some money, plus they are making their division rivals in Chicago worse.

I’ve gotten to where every year I’ve been seeing that little glimmer of hope out of Pittsburgh myself and rooting (though far from ardently) for their improvement.
Maybe now, I can just fahgeddaboutit in 2020...

The Pirates are one of the ten franchises which have stayed in the same city starting from the great period of stability from 1903 to 1953, when there was no franchise movement in MLB.
The Yankees, Tigers, Indians, Red Sox and White Sox in the AL, and the Pirates, Cubs, Cardinals, Reds and Phillies in the NL.
Going on 120 years in the same place. That's a pretty good stretch.

I always hate to see franchises move. It gives the entire sport an aura of instability. I still believe there is an underlying instability anyway, one that most seem to either not see or live in denial of...
