Ugh, I hope the Dodgers don't bail the Red Sox out of the David Price contract. If I was a Red Sox fan this would piss me off so much. He’s the most gifted athlete they’ve had since Nomar. If the Yanks deal Judge for the same reasons that’s a failure of management to properly plan. |

He’s the most gifted athlete they’ve had since Nomar. If the Yanks deal Judge for the same reasons that’s a failure of management to properly plan. I can't see the Yankees doing something like that. They think big picture too, like what's best for ratings with the YES Network and what's popular with the fanbase. |

If they don’t already have a plan for how they’ll manage through the inevitable bump in salary for their young talent, that’s incompetence. And that’s what we are seeing the Red Sox management. If they deal Betts over cost they’re admitting they F’d up pretty badly, even if they get someone to swallow a mistake like Price in the process. Takes a long time to develop a talent like Betts. |

Devil’s advocate question: Would you trade Aaron Judge for Mookie Betts?...😈 Great question. Betts is a year younger and a more versatile defender. But Judge draws more walks and hits for more power. So no. And that’s before considering the brand equity Judge has (and Betts doesn’t have) in NY. So I wouldn’t. |
