Excuse my ignorance, but what's with the sudden interest in college baseball pitching coaches? My inference is that Cashman has concluded that there are more intelligent approaches to pitching right now at places like Driveline and in the colleges than there is in the retreads of major league coaching. He’s probably right if you look at what the Astros and Twins have done in recent years. |

Selfishly, I hope he doesn’t get the job. I really enjoy him on YES games. Completely agree. And I have more confidence that he will continue to be great at that than I do that he will be great as a pitching coach. |
