I resubscribed recently to get their off-season stuff. Yankees top Prospects list just came out. It is a good read. www.baseballprospectus.com/prospects/article/55117/2020-prospects-new-york-yankees-top-10-prospects/To be honest it doesn’t fill me with tremendous optimism about the current state of the minor league system but that’s because so many kids have been promoted in the last few years. Devi is obviously close to major league ready and Dominguez has incredible upside. After that you have guys like Schmitt, Abreu and Gil who could contribute soon in one role or another - I wonder if Abreu could be in the pen this season if they have an opening and they decide he’s a reliever Worth noting that two of those guys came here through trades engineered by Cash. To solve the 40 man roster crunch he will have to make a few trades this winter and we could move one or more of these guys or guys on the 25 man roster and bring back others who like Gil and Abreu could come here and make our top 10. Things drop off after that in terms of talent/impact/readiness. The Top Ten: Deivi García, RHP Jasson Dominguez, OF Albert Abreu, RHP Luis Medina, RHP Luis Gil, RHP Anthony Volpe, SS Estevan Florial, OF Ezequiel Duran, 2B Clarke Schmidt, RHP Kevin Alcantara, OF

Wow Jasson Dominguez already number 2? I've heard this compared to Mike Trout and even Mickey Mantle. No pressure there?

Wow Jasson Dominguez already number 2? He would have been number one, but he’s only 12 years old!

Wow Jasson Dominguez already number 2? They did address that in their write up. I guess his physical tools are impressive enough. I would also say it probably also says something less positive about the rest of the current Yankees minor league system.

Remember when Yoan Moncada was supposed to be the next Trout/Mantle... before he even had an MLB team? I was so pissed when the Sox outbid us for him. Moncada finally had a decent year last season, on the other Sox. He actually did really great, not decent, as I just looked over his numbers. He's 24 years old.. so he's certainly no Trout/Mantle.. but nobody will ever be Trout/Mantle besides, Trout and Mantle.
I was watching this video and the Red Sox weren't going to pick Trout because he's "from NJ and the weather sucks there." SMH..
Anyways, I hope Jasson excels and we see him come up as a 19 year old.. Especially since his names Jasson...

This time next year the system will look a whole lot different, in a good way. Lot of younger talent ready to pop up in the MiLB scene.

The old chestnut- million dollar body, nickel head. Rivera put on laser shows in batting practice. 500 foot taters were common. Cannon for an arm. Fast. Stole Derek Jeter’s glove from his locker.

Even with a million dollar body, you need to work on your head game... Oh wait, you meant that in another way...
