Rescind the Title! Rescind the Title!
Let them raise their filthy banner of shame... they should make them fly it either upside down or at half mast...Or both...

Or... they can pretend there is no proof and look the other way. If that happens it will become open season on sign stealing and the field will be leveled...

Or... they can pretend there is no proof and look the other way. If that happens it will become open season on sign stealing and the field will be leveled... I don’t think they’ll pretend nothing happens. Baseball is already challenged to maintain fan interest. If people don’t think the sport is legitimate competition they’re screwed. Nobody is tuning in to watch a professional wrestling performance of baseball.

They need to hammer the Astros organization with a heavy fine and suspend all the coaches involved, this would send a message to any other teams that are pulling these kind of stunts.

I agree, they should. We'll see if they do. But I don't think the stink of this cheating will tarnish the players involved. Altuve's road and home splits in 2017 were obscene. But sports fans are jocksniffers and they will ignore this and continue to kiss the ass of whatever players they previously loved and MLB will do their best to make this about the Astros organization and not the players who benefitted from cheating. That's the model. Altuve can take over for Rodriguez in the broadcast booth when MLB is done pimping Alex there. Astros’ players’ home and road splits in the 2017 postseason: Alex Bregman: Road – .154 BA, .508 OPS; Home – .273 BA, .857 OPS. Carlos Correa: Road – .211 BA, .626 OPS; Home – .371 BA, 1.164 OPS. Jose Altuve: Road – .143 BA, .497 OPS; Home – .472 BA, 1.541 OPS. Brian McCann: Road – .037 BA, .198 OPS; Home – .300 BA, .849 OPS. Evan Gattis: Road – .200 BA, .533 OPS; Home – .300 BA, 1.014 OPS.

I like how MLB is investing the Astro's with the help of the Astro's... makes tons of sense...

Walls are closing in. theathletic.com/1374774/2019/11/16/astros-executive-asked-scouts-for-help-stealing-signs-and-suggested-using-cameras-email-shows/“An Astros front-office executive wrote about the team’s desire to steal signs in an August 2017 email that was obtained by The Athletic. As the club discussed its advance scouting plans ahead of the playoffs, the executive asked the team’s scouts to pursue sign stealing from the stands, and suggested cameras could be used to do so. “One thing in specific we are looking for is picking up signs coming out of the dugout,” the email’s sender wrote in a message from August of 2017. “What we are looking for is how much we can see, how we would log things, if we need cameras/binoculars, etc. So go to game, see what you can (or can’t) do and report back your findings.” The email was sent to multiple people and provided to The Athletic on the condition that both its sender and recipients remain unnamed.”
