I forgot there was a movie thread, so I decided to move the podcast conversation to it. Thanks everyone. I appreciate your support, critques and ideas. I wish I had done a podcast 20 years ago when my mind was a lot sharper. The premise of the podcast is Adam is 25 years younger than me and has not seen anything pre-eighties and I haven't seen a lot of the films in the past 20 years or so. So one week he gives me a film to watch and then I come up with one that has a connection to his film. The next week it's my turn. Will definitely do one around The Godfather, which as kay pointed out, Adam has never seen. We've both seen the Irishman, so we may have to change the format for a week. I liked it a lot more than he did, so that in itself a conversation starter. We are changing the format this week and talking about our Top 5 Jack Nicholson roles. Re-watching "Five Easy Pieces" this morning. www.buzzsprout.com/888142He's 25 years younger than you??? What is he 12??? LOL

Intelligent back and forth that brought back some movie memories. I like the concept and the format. Hard to believe Nicholson's first film was all the way back in 1958. His first movie that I remember seeing in a theater (a drive-in appropriately enough) was a bomb called "Psychout" which is a laughably dated look at San Francisco druggie culture in the 60s. It did give us the film debut of The Strawberry Alarm Clock, so there's that. And Bruce Dern playing a hippie called The Seeker. But of course you were focused on his best roles, not his worst. Nice job!

Great to hear him say "Thanks Aunt Bea" after she held out against the rest of the jury because she thought he was innocent.

Jack Nicholson and Frances Bavier -- two lives you would never expect to intersect.
Of course Nicholson was also in "Head" with The Monkees, Victor Mature and Annette Funicello, another odd juxtaposition.
There was a movie in the 1930s called "Dancing Lady" that featured Clark Gable, Joan Crawford and the Three Stooges.

I haven't yet watched the new season of 'Better Call Saul'...
JAY: Yeah this season of the WD is great--looks like they are trapped--but Carol & Neagen will save them by killing Alpha

Narcos Mexico Season 2 came out February 13th. I would have seen it all already but I'm watching it with a friend so I've only seen the first few episodes.
