"Get Smart" - Don Adams (Maxwell Smart) & Barbara Feldon (Agent 99). Don Adams also did the voice of Tennessee Tuxedo. CONTROL at odds with KAOS

Oh for sure. I remember when Stefanie Powers was April Dancer, "The Girl From UNCLE." And who can forget Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd in Moonlighting Brosnan / Zimbalist in Remington Steele Quite a few male/female sleuth Not sure if they count, but Scarecrow and Mrs. King and Maxwell Smart/99. EDIT -- Didn't see you got Max and 99.

Another great male/female crime-solvers rapport was Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg on "The Avengers." John Steed and Emma Peel. Always urbane and unflappable. Oh man I love that series, I have the DVD box set. You remind me to take them out. It wasn't the same after Diana Rigg left and was replaced by the too-young Linda Thorson as Tara. That last episode when Mrs. Peel says goodbye to Steed was very moving.

There is nothing funnier than Peter Falk in character ( Columbo ) at a Dean Martin Roast of Frank Sinatra! A must watch on YouTube!

They are hilarious. Far too rough and tumble to be allowed in today's world. I love Foster Brooks on those things. Dean Martin couldn't stop laughing when he was on.

I think there was also an earlier iteration of that rotation with "The Name Of The Game" and "The Bold Ones" and "NBC Mystery Movie." Susan St. James was also in that one. Any recalled Hart to Hart? A similar venue. Great rapport between Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers Do you recall Stephanie Powers playing John Wayne's daughter in the movie "McClintock"? Jerry Van Dyke, Maureen O'Hara, and great character actors Chill Wills and Edgar Buchanan.

She also was in a movie where she was tormented for two hours by Tallulah Bankhead called "Die Die My Darling."

I was just reading PG Wodehouse yesterday from 1934's "Right Ho, Jeeves!" and he mentions Tallulah Bankhead. I've never seen "Die Die My Darling," but Bankhead was a handful from an early age, bullying family members, then kicked out of convents twice (she wasn't Catholic - her family sent her there as punishment) for throwing ink at a Mother Superior and for making romantic advances toward a nun. Supposedly, she was the inspiration for the drawing of Disney's Cruella De Vil's wicked caricature and nature.

A longtime friend of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald too, which also sounds about right.

CONTROL at odds with KAOS Bernie Kopell as KAOS Director Siegfried in his pre-"Love Boat" days. He will be 91 in June. Barbara Feldon will turn 91 next week. And Barbara Eden of "I Dream Of Jeannie" will turn 93 in August. Yikes.

Wodehouse's Jeeves &Wooster (Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry) Laurie the unflappable valet indeed a Gentleman's Gentleman. I have Wodehouse's books somewhere if I can locate them.

Stephen Fry was perfect as Jeeves, and I cannot read Bertie Wooster without hearing Hugh Laurie's voice. The inimitable Pipps is another Wodehouse fan. @pipps
