For pre-game I'm watching "Attack" on TCM, a movie I've never heard of, but any film that has Lee Marvin, Jack Palance and Eddie Albert in it, I'm watching. Lee Marvin and Jack Palance are legends! So is Eddie Albert!, lol. Who can forget his performance as the evil warden in "The Longest Yard"?

Late 70’s catching a red-eye LA-NY flight. Just a few people in the boarding area, including a guy sitting alone, half-asleep. Took me a minute to recognize Jack Palance, looking every bit as scary in the dim lighting as he did playing the lead role in the TV movie “Dracula”.

Took me a minute to recognize Jack Palance, looking every bit as scary in the dim lighting as he did playing the lead role in the TV movie “Dracula”. When I said to a relative of mine that worked with Palance and knew him well that when I was a kid, Palance's look would scare me. My relative laughed and said..."Jack is a really nice man and a pleasure to work with." For the record, won't name names, but my relative didn't say that about everyone.
I witness that when another relative of mine went into the entertainment business and invited me on movie sets. I met 3 actors that were nice to me, but disappointed me because of the way they treated some people. Major attitude problems for B-rated actors. I thought it was funny that each one of them got told off by someone because of their attitudes. The top of the line actors/actresses that I have met had a much nicer way about them then the 3 actors I spoke of. I have met other actors that aren't household names that were really nice too.

Such a great movie. He also had a minor role in The Longest Day, a very good movie with an allstar cast.

Such a great movie. He also had a minor role in The Longest Day, a very good movie with an allstar cast. I jotted names on a pad of actors I remember from the Longest Day. I got John Wayne, Richard Burton, Henry Fonda, Sean Connery, Peter Lawford, Robert Mitchem, Roddy McDowel, Paul Anka and the one and only Red Buttons. Also in the film were Steve Forrest (he was on Gunsmoke alot), Jeffrey Hunter, Edmund O'brien, Robert Ryan, Fabien and Sal Mineo to name a few.

Nice guy - definitely was a Yankee fan. RIP
