Loved Get Smart. I bet they couldn't do "The Craw" bit today. Maybe not even Siegfried, Bernie Kopell before he signed on for "The Love Boat." Surely not Abe Fu Yung, played by Victor Sen Yung, who was Hop Sing on "Bonanza." Some great recurring characters on that show -- the doltish Larrabee, the taking-everything-literally Hymie the Robot, Agent 13, who popped up in trash cans or washing machines with messages for Max. Johnny Carson was even in a couple of episodes. The one I most remember was when he played a train conductor, walking through the car announcing "We are now entering Liechtenstein" and re-appearing five seconds later to say "We are now leaving Liechtenstein."

Max: "Kill the light Hymie". Hymie pulls out a gun and shoots the light.

Matt and Kitty never got married because it would have changed the dynamics of the show...
Ricky and Lucy were already married, but Fred and Ethel hated each other in real life...

Isn't it always the case? [img alt=" " class="smile" src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/udcwFqPimnXDtjoTmoVL.gif"] Art imitating life! Indeed! I can vouch for this as someone who was in a good relationship for 9 years that turned south after 1 year of marriage....

Last night I decided to watch a Kirk Douglas classic. I switched over to You Tube and clicked on “Champion”, only to find out that the movie was mislabeled. The movie that played instead was also a Kirk Douglas movie “The Villain”.
Remembering the terrific job Douglas did in “Gunfight at the OK Corral, I settled in to watch a good western instead. Besides, Ann Margret was in the movie, too. Then, things went south in a hurry. Arnold Schwarzenegger as a guy actually named Handsome Stranger? Paul Lynde as Indian Chief Nervous Elk?
I really can’t say why I kept watching until the end. I’m sure Ms. Margrets physical attributes had something to do with it. I don’t understand why she nor Douglas took part in such a horrendous piece of garbage. The majority of the movie was basically Kirk Douglas as Wile E. Coyote attempting to rob Handsome Stranger and Charming (Ann Margret’s movie character), as they combined to be the Roadrunner.
Barrels of glue and gunpowder that did not have the ACME name on them, papier-mâché boulders that always wound up on top of Kirk Douglas instead of their targets.
At least they got away from the Coyote/Roadrunner theme in the final scene during which they played the Warner Brothers sign off music while Douglas did the Daffy Duck “skip on a lake routine”, though on top of rooftops.
Clara Peller would have said “I can’t believe I watched the whole thing”...

Not really, whatever you’re in the mood to watch. Some of the movies I picked because I cannot help but watch them, whenever and wherever they are aired. Others for the impact they had either on me personally or the movies that followed them - some over and over again.

I’ve always tried to understand why anyone (and I have done it many times) would want to watch a movie multiple times. I guess I get maybe once or twice extra. Maybe you blinked and missed a scene. Maybe you missed something in the complexities.
I know I’ve seen Rio Bravo at least 20-25 times. Tombstone? Wyatt Earp? Dirty Harry movies? Eastwood westerns? Silverado? Yes, for the most part I can enjoy the western genre over and over again.
The Jerk? Several times, though I usually wait a couple of years in between.
They always end the same way every time.
And I watch Gunsmoke on just about any night that I’m around...
