End of that game was a shitshow as one might expect from the first weekend of spring training.
Dewayne Staats is a pretty decent play by play guy. Remember when he called the Yankees games?

Is that player in playing shape? I don’t want to knock Andujar here, but if we go by what we’ve seen so far, we’d hand the first base job to Gittens. Slow and easy gets the job done at this point. All in all, I’m glad the lad hit a home run. Let it go at that for now... |

Just praying that this doesn't turn serious. Over a week ago Judge was quoted as telling Boone he’s “game ready”. Yet, here he is, still playing tee ball like an 8-year old. “Giancarlo, you got last year off. Why don’t you play this year, and I’ll take the year off? The fans say we’re redundant in the lineup anyway”. Ellsbury: “If you guys need any advise, just give me a call”... |
