It will be interesting to see if Garcia ends up in the rotation or the bullpen. You know how the Yankees are with young pitchers. As long as there are veterans to fill the spots, they seldom allow young arms to prove themselves and in doing so delay free agency. Garcia will likely start in AAA, no matter how he performs in Spring Training. |

Garcia will likely start in AAA, no matter how he performs in Spring Training. It can be a bit maddening to watch. Loasiga, for instance has been injured, but also pushed back to AAA and/or the bullpen. Now that he’s 25 this season, is he permanently going to be posted for bullpen duty? Does he really get a shot at that #5.5 starter job? The point is that if we’re not careful, these guys can “age out” to tgat point. It’s almost shocking that Severino was able to bypass... um, being bypassed. That says a ton about how special he is... |
