The good old one: “Johnny, you got your raise to $27,000 because you won 20 games a couple of years ago. Since then, you’ve won 17, then 18. We’re going to cut you to $24,000 this year. Why do we continue to read that these injuries are carry-overs from last year and are still an issue in the spring? I can understand that happening from time to time, but you might have expected that Severino was doing therapy during the winter. Is what it is, I guess. But it still sucks. Heck, I could have pitched to more than two batters last season. Most likely wouldn’t have gotten any of them (because of trash can banging), but I could have done it... Or... I could have done Stanton’s 13 games. Wow, that might have been REALLY ugly. Imagine a senior citizen in the field, at the plate, on the bases in 13 games...I could have done a lot of damage to the team right there... |

Amazing we have already lost Severino and Paxton....and German.
That is a pitching staff for most teams.

So... we sign Hicks and Sevy and they barely play since the ink dries. Glad we didn't extend Betances, I bet he'd have a cramp in his big toe and be out til July... Shit pisses me off.
