Rockies are interested in moving Diaz. I know he's injured right now but should be returning soon. Would they be interested in one of our young catching prospects in return for the UFA? I am not familiar with his work as I tend to focus on AL baseball. Can he control a running game ? At 33, he’s an aging catcher with slightly below average offense. He does have a good track record for controlling the running game, this season he’s caught 31% of runners compared to the NL average of 22%. For his career he’s been 28% vs. 24% for the league, and in 2021 he led the NL with 42% CS rate… He’s not a game changer, nor does he need to be. For the sake of comparison, Austin Wells is 27/8, 23%, exactly average in the AL…

Yeah...but players run much slower and throws to 2B travel much faster and are more accurate at Coors Field...

Yeah...but players run much slower and throws to 2B travel much faster and are more accurate at Coors Field... o Due to lack of gravity… of course. That mile high stuff is for sissies. We’re almost a half mile higher here… 🤓

Savant has him ranked pretty high at throwing out runners above expected and stealing runs. He has thrown out 31% of base stealers. Wells is 23% and Trevino 22%.

Now that I’m a marijuana user I have be sure…I could definitely not live in AZ below about 20,000 ft. Which it doesn’t have. Maybe near Flagstaff I could survive. In the winter only…

It's actually a beautiful area...much like the mountains of Colorado. Summer temps rarely above 80's.

Actually, Arizona is a very diverse state. White Mountain towns along the Mogollon Rim...Payson, Pinetop-Lakeside, Show Low at 5000'-6000' are generally in the 80's tops during summer.
