UFC taking place next Saturday on Tribal lands in Cali. Also UFC president Dana White has secured a private island so foreign fights can fight on future cards.

If its true is it negative. Yes. The truth can be negative. It is the rare man who receives news he would rather not hear that doesn’t recognize it as negative. Yet Russ, there is also truth to a saying that sometimes news is just the news, neither good nor bad. Just what it is... Paranoia is a similar subject. It’s not paranoia if it’s really happening. Just a couple of months ago a germ-phobic that was constantly washing his hands may have been looked upon as paranoid. Today, he probably still is, but he has a lot of company, which normalizes the behavior... I say what I think is true.

Today, he probably still is, but he has a lot of company, which normalizes the behavior... I say what I think is true. And you should, Russ. I was just tagging on you because of your reputation for negativity. As far as what you say being true, I believe that can be fact, and it can be fact that is only supported by your opinion, which may indeed not always be fact. You said it your self, “What I THINK is true”. Just so you know, you were right in the post I jabbed you in. There are a lot of obstacles to starting the season that the average fan may not see. To start with is the rather odd environment of playing sports without a large audience present. It’ll be even weirder for the players than for us. Sound on the field? Be careful what you wish for. Every curse word. Every fart, cough, burp could be heard on air. Using minor league / spring training facilities and Chase Field only would be odd...

I still don't get why stating facts means you are negative. But it is likely true I am negative. Even when I am correct

I still don't get why stating facts means you are negative. But it is likely true I am negative. Even when I am correct You are positively and truthfully negative... Not a horrible quality. You balance out the overly positive people of the world. There is a division of string theory that postulates that everything you see in front of you, even your own hands, is a hologram. If that is true the infinite universe that we see is as well, which changes the meaning of infinite. So nothing is as bad as it seems...It’s our imagination that makes life truly suck...

MLB considering radical realignment for 2020 season: Grapefruit and Cactus leagues
Major League Baseball, assessing myriad proposals, has discussed a radical plan that would eliminate the traditional American and National Leagues for 2020, a high-ranking official told USA TODAY Sports, and realign all six divisions for an abbreviated season.
The plan would have all 30 teams returning to their spring training sites in Florida and Arizona, playing regular-season games only in those two states and without fans in an effort to reduce travel and minimize risks in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The divisions would be realigned based on the geography of their spring training homes.
Here's a look at one realignment structure:
GRAPEFRUIT LEAGUE
NORTH: New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates. SOUTH: Boston Red Sox, Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, Baltimore Orioles. EAST: Washington Nationals, Houston Astros, New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, Miami Marlins.
CACTUS LEAGUE
NORTHEAST: Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, Oakland Athletics. WEST: Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels. NORTHWEST: Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals.

These idiots will do anything to get to test inter league play or realignment out. Oh, and by the way, we’ll stop the spread of the disease by doing a Grapefruit League in a state with a high incidence of infection!
Do NOT let these idiots have a season. Somebody stop them before they ruin the game more.
I know! Let’s have an ALL STAR game after the 20th game of the season. Let’s put home plate and the batter’s boxes on a mound this year. And we’ll have every batter throw a frisbee before his at bat. It it hits a designated target his team gets a point. Total frisbee points will be the tie breaker if the game finishes in a tie after nine in innings. If the tie breaker ties they can swat a shuttlecock back and forth until the tie is broken...
The era of fixing things that are not broken...

Boston, north of New York, Philly, Pittsburgh... to the South? Do they even own a map?

Boston, north of New York, Philly, Pittsburgh... to the South? Do they even own a map? Its based on their Spring Training homes. Still, I think its an awful idea. Though our competition in the North Grapefruit League looks pretty easy.

Though our competition in the North Grapefruit League looks pretty easy. Do you think they should play this year? I know we could all use the distraction, but is it worth the risk? I hadn’t thought about where the ST home are located <embarrassed>. I don’t like the play in Florida. They could expand the western territory to utilize Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, where the virus numbers are low... It’s not like they have to draw fans. Don’t allow anyone to use their regular “home” parks, unless as a visitor to make it more fair. Watch for PCL-like numbers. The owners should like that...

I know we could all use the distraction, but is it worth the risk? Honestly if I had to make the call right now, I would say no, its not worth it.
I'm glad I'm not the one who has to make the call though.
